Regent's Canal Walks

Regent's Canal is definitely the answer to lazy afternoons but when you still want to go outside and breathe some fresh air.

As long as you keep an eye on the furious cyclists to avoid any accidents, Regent's Canal is one of the nicest places to take long walks with a cafe every now and then. Perfect to relax and to regain energy. More about some of those cafes in another blogpost.

We've already discovered a lot of the Regent's Canal so far. We've been following the Canal from the Victoria Park, through Islington and until Angel. And we've also sat down at the part of the Canal in Camden Town where we enjoyed our food from the market.
Hopefully we can soon follow the part that goes through St Pancras as I'm curious what it looks like around there. And also the Canal goes further Victoria Park, into the Thames. I'd love to take a walk there soon!

Exhibition at Photographer's Gallery

A little late but better than never, right? But there was just so much to do and so little time to write a proper blogpost. But now I can finally tell you about a exhibition me and my friend visited in 'The Photographer's Gallery'.

The exhibition was called "Primrose: Early Colour Photography In Russia".
Very interesting to see what the beginnings of colour photography particularly in Russia looked like. We saw a lot of creative images. It was fascinating how many of the pictures looked like paintings due to the colouration.
Obviously they used to photograph their image three times but in different colours so that those pictures could add up to one normal coloured picture.

You could see how the colouration of pictures improved throughout the years and some of the pictures were pretty good quality!

When stroling around the gallery we also found a room where dias where shown and immediately had to go and take some photos there. I love how they turned out!

Notting Hill Carnvial In The Rain

It's been such a pity that on Monday of the Notting Hill Carnival it was raining all day but that held absolutely nobody back from partying, dancing and dressing like it has been 28°C+!
We found a great place to stand and watch the parade.
All the costumes looked amazing! Everyone was happy and laughing. Such a nice day!

 what is rain? :)

Brunch Mornings

I love brunch because at one hand this means you got to sleep in and on the other you can eat whatever you desire.
Breakfast and Lunch! The best meals of the day combined in one! What could possibly be better?
And another plus factor is that brunch is perfect for gatherings or catching up with friends.
Who would want to tell another about his last vacation at 7 in the morning?
That's just a cruel time of the day and definitely not the best one for talking and relaxing.

I'm obsessing over dried flowers at the moment because I think it's amazing that they always stay coloured and beautiful.

The British Museum

The best thing about museums here? They are free!
This makes it so much more possible for me to visit them, haha! You know, I really like museums but when you have to pay 10 pound to get in, I'm out.
Fortunately that's not the case in London. Therefore we decided to visit the british museum.
Partly because of the exhibitions and partly (I'm not gonna lie: mainly) because of the architecture of the museum.
Entering the museum is enchanting! The British Museum is truly unique.
