Brunch Mornings

I love brunch because at one hand this means you got to sleep in and on the other you can eat whatever you desire.
Breakfast and Lunch! The best meals of the day combined in one! What could possibly be better?
And another plus factor is that brunch is perfect for gatherings or catching up with friends.
Who would want to tell another about his last vacation at 7 in the morning?
That's just a cruel time of the day and definitely not the best one for talking and relaxing.

I'm obsessing over dried flowers at the moment because I think it's amazing that they always stay coloured and beautiful.

The British Museum

The best thing about museums here? They are free!
This makes it so much more possible for me to visit them, haha! You know, I really like museums but when you have to pay 10 pound to get in, I'm out.
Fortunately that's not the case in London. Therefore we decided to visit the british museum.
Partly because of the exhibitions and partly (I'm not gonna lie: mainly) because of the architecture of the museum.
Entering the museum is enchanting! The British Museum is truly unique.

Meeting Style Icon Alexa Chung

Her book has been on the market for a while now and definitely has been featured in thousands of instagram pictures. Which is totally understandable.
Alexa has this one-of-a-kind charm she casually puts in all of her work.
I was truly excited when I randomly found out she would do an exlcusive book signing in Westfield. Of course I made my friends come with me as early as possible to join the queue for her signing on Tuesday, 12th of August. What I particulary love abut Alexa's style is that she always looks effortlessly stunning. As if she spends less than 2 minutes in front of her closet and still arranges flawless outifts.

Alexa arrived dead on time and looked absolutely stunning in her dress! She took as much time as possible to talk to every person and sign their books. When it was our turn I had a nice little talk with her and she signed my book. We were also able to take pictures with her which is awesome considering there were a lot of people waiting! Anyways Alexa was so kind and made sure that everyone gets their picture taken.

Africa Fashion Week 2014

I've already told you about getting lost on Friday when trying to get to the Africa Fashion Week. So that's why we went on Saturday. (Let's just ignore the fact that we got lost again and realized it was near the place we went on Friday but anyways..)
The Fashion Show was amazing! I've never been to such an event but have read e-n-o-u-g-h about it that made me wanna go. The collections were really beautiful and I would've loved to wear a few of the clothes. The atmosphere was extremly catchy with all the music, people and fashion.
We definitely had a fun day there and I would go again any time.

That's what I call London Fashion!

Coffee Bowls & Many Laughs

On Friday we originally planned on attending to the Africa Fashion Show. Somehow we got lost and didn't find the place. Don't even ask. (But we made it there the next day, so you can look forward a blogpost on that!) Anyways. Instead of going to the fashion show on Friday we sat down in Costa and had the biggest cappuccino cups ever! It was such a fun afternoon with many childhood stories, laughs and people watching. Lovely!

Highgate... Literally

Yesterday we went to Highgate. The same day we realized how much cheaper taking the bus instead of tube is. But anyways. After taking the wrong overground twice.. we finally arrived in Highgate. It's very beautiful there. High above the city.

We planned on visiting the Highgate cemetery which we actually found but unfortunately it happened to close at the exact moment we arrived. So we decided to visit the park right next to the cemetery where we also had some nice coffee. ♨

I'm wearing a Miss Guided blouse, River Island skirt with my Topshop bag.

Flowermarket Columbia Road

Already on our way to the flowermarket yesterday we saw people heading back home with giant bouquets of flowers. So we hurried up just to see that the flowermarket still went full speed. The flower sellers were screaming and promoting their goods. The beautiful smell of all the flowers floated around everyone. "Two of these a fiver!" Yes, fiver is a word you'll always hear.

We couldn't imagine that this scenery repeats every sunday! We went on to find the cutest coffee shops in hidden corners. A must-come-back for us. I'm already looking forward trying some of those delicious cupcakes!!

Home again we decided to sit in our nearest park to chill out a bit. I was doing some photo editing while my friends either doodled, read or just enjoyed the sun (just like me).
